Tuttle has gone a perfect 10-0 against Harrah recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Tigers will head out on the road to take on the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Tuttle's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
Tuttle's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Chickasha, posting a 56-0 victory. Fans of the Tigers have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Tuttle to victory, but perhaps none more so than Carter Vanauken, who rushed for 134 yards and one touchdown on only 14 carries. Gage Goodwin was in the mix too, providing the Tigers with one TD.
Special teams also played a big role in the game for Tuttle, adding 14 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Donnie Schluter, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Harrah's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They were beaten by Ardmore 66-28. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 52-14.
Tuttle will need to focus on slowing down Callan Whitnah, one of several Harrah players who made an impact when they last played. He rushed for 71 yards and a pair of scores, and also threw for 139 yards and one touchdown. Whitnah is also on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in each of the last five games he's played. Brock Day was another key rusher, rushing for 97 yards and one TD.
Harrah's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Tuttle, their win bumped their record up to 9-0.
Everything came up roses for Tuttle against Harrah when the teams last played back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 40-10 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
