The Newman Greenies made easy work of the St. Katharine Drexel Yellowjackets on Thursday and carried off a 19-1 victory. Considering the Greenies have won seven games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Madison Able made a big impact no matter where she played. She pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Able was also big at the plate, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run. That home run marked the first that she launched this season.

In other batting news, Newman got a massive performance out of Alyse Dulitz, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and one triple. Caroline Kenter also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Newman kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 20 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Newman has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.5 runs over those games. As for St. Katharine Drexel, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4-1.

Coming up, Newman will venture away from home to take on Woodlawn-B.R. at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for St. Katharine Drexel, they will welcome Cohen on Wednesday.
