The Cleburne County Tigers lost against the Jacksonville Golden Eagles back in November of 2020, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Cleburne County received a tough blow as they fell 48-33 to Jacksonville. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Cleburne County has scored all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Jacksonville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Aaron Nixon, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds. The contest was Nixon's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Devin Barksdale was another key contributor, scoring 17 points.
Cleburne County has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-5 record this season. As for Jacksonville, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-3.
Cleburne County will head out on the road to face off against Cherokee County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Jacksonville and Anniston will face off at 6:30 p.m. on December 21st without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
