The Gibbs Gladiators will challenge the Hollins Royals at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. Gibbs will be strutting in after a  victory while Hollins will be coming in after a  loss.
Having struggled with six  defeats in a row, Gibbs  turned things around against Bayshore  on Friday. They managed  a  23-19 win over the Bruins.

 This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to  Mario McCant and  Steven Alexis. McCant rushed for 38 yards and a pair of  TDs while  Alexis rushed for 72 yards and one  score. What's more,  McCant posted two  rushing touchdowns, the most he's  had since back in August.
Meanwhile, Hollins was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap  on Thursday as they fell  37-32 to IMG Academy State. The Royals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the  loss, Hollins saw an underclassman step up: freshman  Elijah Berry rushed for 72 yards and a pair of  touchdowns.  Trey Teasdale was another key player, having thrown for 263 yards and onetouchdown.
 Special teams was a major factor in the game for Hollins, racking up 12 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of  Jermaine Smith, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
 Hollins' defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Gibbs, their  victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-6.
Friday's   contest might be decided in the trenches. Gibbs has been unstoppable on the ground this season,  having  averaged 196.9  rushing yards per game. It's a different story for Hollins, though, as  they've been averaging  only 47.8  rushing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant running game?
