Brunswick proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by seven) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Medina 5-4. The victory was familiar territory for the Blue Devils, who have now won three contests in a row.
Brunswick got a great performance from Ryan Maslyk as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched.

Brunswick pushed their record up to 7-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Avon, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.
