The Kingsburg Vikings will be taking part in a tournament against the Monache Marauders at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Kingsburg is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season.
Kingsburg is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Bullard on Tuesday, sneaking past 12-11. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Vikings have posted against the Knights since April 17, 2021.

The team relied heavily on Sarah Urbieta, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, one run, and one double. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in RBI. Another player making a difference was Reygan Jones, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two RBI.
Monache not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since May 17, 2024. They put the hurt on Wasco with a sharp 8-1 victory.
Sophia Martinez spent all 7.1 innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up eight Ks. Those eight strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.
On the hitting side, Amiee Rivas was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-2. Aaliyah Mosqueda was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 3-for-3.
Monache kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive matches.
Kingsburg's win was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-3. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Monache, they now have a winning record of 3-2-1.
Both Kingsburg and Monache just can't seem to miss. Kingsburg has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.4 hits per game. However, it's not like Monache struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.8 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
