The Liberty County Bulldogs had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past Cottondale 56-17 on the road. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 32-9.
Liberty County was led to victory by Caleigh Peddie and Gabriella Flowers. Peddie scored 17 points, while Flowers scored 17 points. Another player making a difference was Ella'ann Childs, who scored 7 points.
Liberty County's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Cottondale, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Liberty County will be playing at home against Aucilla Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Aucilla Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 last Monday. Cottondale won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Vernon at 5:30 p.m. on November 28th.
