Judson was held off the set scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-11, 25-22.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Steele, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. Everything went their way against San Marcos on Tuesday as they made off with a 3-0 victory.
Steele not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept San Marcos between 13 and 16 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final set scores wound up at 25-14, 25-13, 25-16.
Judson better keep an eye on Sawyer Lloyd. She was instrumental in Steele's win, getting 13 kills, 13 digs, and five aces. Yasabel Sampson was another key player, getting eight assists and four aces.
Judson has now lost 14 of their last 16 games at home. That leaves them at a 12-16 record this season. As for Steele, they have been performing well recently, winning 10 of their last 13 matchups. That's given a solid lift to their 19-15 record this season.
Judson might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they suffered at the hands of Steele when the teams last played on October 10, 2025 last season. Can the Rockets avenge their defeat, or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll have the answer soon enough.
