The Morse Tigers lost against the Point Loma Pointers back in November of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Morse took a serious blow against Point Loma, falling 38-6. Morse has struggled against Point Loma recently, as their game on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the defeat, Morse saw an underclassman step up: Superior Garror rushed for 86 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries. Garror was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 52 yards.
It was another big night for Brady Allen, who threw for 156 yards and four touchdowns. Ryan Burdine was another key contributor, picking up 68 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Morse now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Point Loma, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season.
Morse will head out on the road to face off against Mira Mesa at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Point Loma does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
