Lydia Pryke tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out eight over 5.1 innings pitched. Those eight strikeouts gave her a new career-high.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kindal Rice, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and two doubles. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Miranda Martin, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
Greencastle-Antrim hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least three batters every time they've taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, Boiling Springs lost 18-3 to Northern York on Wednesday. The Bubblers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Boiling Springs saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isabella Allen, who went 1-for-3 with one run.
Greencastle-Antrim's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Boiling Springs, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.
Tuesday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Greencastle-Antrim has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .492. However, it's not like Boiling Springs struggles in that department as they've averaged .436. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
