SCISA AA Region II recap Oct. 3, 2012
Hilton Head Prep's Teron Daley rumbled for the longest rushing play in SCISA AA Region II this season in his game against Calhoun Academy last week. Daley scampered for 65 yards on the play and finished with 110 on the day as his team defeated the Cavaliers.
Heyward Academy extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating St. Andrew's, 49-12. The victory was the seventh in a row for the Rebels.
Northwood Academy's dynamic duo of Will Lloyd and Douglas Dwight proved tough for Williamsburg Academy to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Lloyd threw for 292 yards and four touchdowns and Dwight had 162 yards receiving. Andrew Singer helped Northwood Academy's passing attack out by catching four balls for 48 yards.
jT Waters made the biggest impact on defense this week as Palmetto Christian Academy fell to Bible Baptist. The junior pulled down two interceptions.
Charlie Wilmot was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 19 carries, he ran for 162 yards as Hilton Head Prep fell to the Stallions.
On the ground, Palmetto Christian Academy's Waters has rushed for 953 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Logan Clark. The Hilton Head Prep star has 19 catches for 460 yards.
Waters of the Jim Daniel's team is only 47 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Heyward Academy takes on Kevin Wald's team. At the moment, Nic Shuford's team is in first, while the Dolphins are in fourth.
The Rebels took down the Lions 49-12 last week, the largest margin of any game.
