There's no place like home for the Greenbrier Christian Academy Gators, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Monday. They secured a 53-47 W over StoneBridge on Tuesday. That's another feather in the cap for Greenbrier Christian Academy, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Greenbrier Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Bubba Sawyer, who scored 12 points along with six assists and five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Sawyer has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jonathan Ashe, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds.
Several Cavaliers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Douglas Marshall, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Thompson, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds.
Greenbrier Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. As for StoneBridge, they now have a losing record at 8-9.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Atlantic Shores Christian the next time they take the court. StoneBridge will host Atlantic Shores Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Greenbrier Christian Academy will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
