Cranston West will head out on the road to challenge Fitch at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Cranston West's pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so Fitch's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Cranston West fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Pilgrim on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Patriots by a score of 3-2.

Mia Crudale spent all 7.2 innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on seven hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Mia Santomassimo was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. That RBI marked the first that she has brought in this season.
Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Fitch ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 12-6 margin over Westerly. The Falcons have beaten the Bulldogs the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Bulldogs has come to flipping the script.
Fitch also let their pitcher toss all eight innings and she was also dialed-in: Hailey Merrill gave up four earned (and two unearned) runs on ten hits.
At the plate, Jaedyn Steffens was a standout: she went 2-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Katie MacPherson was another key player, going 3-for-5 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI.
Fitch kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 19 hits. They got seven more hits than Westerly's also-impressive total of 12.
Fitch now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Cranston West, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-3.
