T.R. Miller has gone 8-2 against Blacksher recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Tigers will challenge the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
It was a proper cat-fight when T.R. Miller challenged Hillcrest on Thursday. The Tigers never let the Jaguars get on the board and left with an 18-0 victory. 18 seems to be a good number for the Tigers as the team scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.
Ellie Miller made a splash no matter where she played. She pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Miller was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI.
In other batting news, Hatlee Robinson was incredible, going 2-for-3 with five RBI, two runs, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Aly Sheffield, who went 1-for-3 with three runs and two RBI.
Meanwhile, Blacksher took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Thursday. Everything went their way against W.S. Neal as they made off with a 15-0 victory.
Like T.R. Miller, Blacksher also got a great game from a two-way player: Anna Grace Hollinger. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Hollinger was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs. Those two runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Emeri Ikner, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with seven RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those seven RBI gave her a new career-high. Lanie Hall was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs and two RBI.
Blacksher always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .714. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as W.S. Neal only posted an OBP of .000.
T.R. Miller got the 'W' when the teams last played back in April of 2025 against Blacksher by a conclusive 13-7 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
