The Clarke County Bulldogs were the 45-27 winner over the Choctaw County Tigers when they last played one another last Thursday, but their luck changed this time around. Clarke County fell just short of Choctaw County by a score of 42-40. Clarke County has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Choctaw County can attribute much of their success to India Graham, who scored 19 points along with three steals. The match was Graham's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jikayla Mosley, who scored six points.
Clarke County's loss was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 4-8. As for Choctaw County, their victory bumped their record up to 1-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clarke County will take on McIntosh at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Choctaw County will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Marengo at 6:30 p.m. on January 4, 2024.
