After flying high against the Owings Mills Golden Eagles last Monday, the Carver A&T Wildcats came back down to earth. Carver A&T took a 43-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of Chesapeake. Carver A&T was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Chesapeake apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.
Despite the loss, Carver A&T still got an impressive performance from Elisah Guity, who scored 25 points along with five steals. Laila Brandon was another key contributor, scoring five points along with 17 rebounds and three steals.
Carver A&T's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Chesapeake, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carver A&T will take on Towson at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Chesapeake, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Loch Raven at 5:30 p.m. Hopefully Loch Raven focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Wednesday.
