The Research Triangle Raptors lost to the Raleigh Charter Phoenix back in January of 2023, but the Research Triangle Raptors didn't allow the Raleigh Charter Phoenix the same satisfaction on Tuesday. Research Triangle enjoyed a cozy 67-51 victory over the Phoenix.
Cade Wiggins was his usual excellent self, scoring 16 points along with eight assists and six steals. It was the first time this season that he posted eight or more assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Omar WIley, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds.
Research Triangle's win bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Raleigh Charter, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Research Triangle will take on the Eagles at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. That match will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Greyson Landphere and Wiggins. As for Raleigh Charter, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Firebirds at 7:30 p.m. on February 2nd.
