Athens is 7-1 against Berkley since May of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Red Hawks will welcome the Bears at 4:30 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Athens is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Troy on Friday as they made off with a 12-2 win. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Red Hawks with their most commanding win of the season.

Angie Leonard made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Leonard was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI. Those three hits gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Cara Dahlerup was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Addison Cosgrove, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs.
Athens kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Berkley had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They were the clear victors by a 19-4 margin over Lutheran on Saturday. The Bears not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since April 23rd (when they won 17-1).
Berkley let Brooke Schall and Alyse Muscat run wild. Schall went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple, while Muscat went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Meryl O'Donnell, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple.
Athens is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Berkley, their win bumped their record up to 9-16-1.
