With a playoff game on the line, the Lumpkin County Indians rose to the challenge on Friday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 52-6 victory over Gordon Lee. Lumpkin County's victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
Lumpkin County's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 45.5 points per game. As for Gordon Lee, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season.
Lumpkin County will take on Oconee County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Gordon Lee does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
