Pinconning and Glenn are an even 4-4 against one another since May of 2016, but likely not for long. The Spartans will challenge the Bobcats at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Pinconning is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.7 runs per game this season.
On Friday, Pinconning got the win against Beaverton by a conclusive 16-1. The Spartans have beaten the Beavers the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Beavers has come to flipping the script.
Ella Hunter made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Hunter was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. That's the most doubles she has posted over her last 13 matchups.

In other batting news, Kailee Rugenstein and Emily Breza did most of the damage at the plate: Rugenstein went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base, while Breza went 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those three runs gave Breza a new career-high. Emma McQuarter was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double.
Pinconning kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Glenn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against Michigan Lutheran Seminary, falling 16-1.
Glenn's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Pinconning, their record is now 14-6-1.
