The Mount de Sales Academy Sailors had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 28.8 points), and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They walked away with a 38-31 victory over Bryn Mawr. The score was all tied up 18-18 at the break, but Mount de Sales Academy was the better team in the second half.
It was another big night for Shelby Lewis, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Mackenzie Conley, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Mount de Sales Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. As for Bryn Mawr, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
Mount de Sales Academy will head out on the road to square off against Dulaney at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Dulaney is on a three-game streak of home wins, Mount de Sales Academy a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. Bryn Mawr will take on Broadneck at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Broadneck is coming into the contest hot, having won their last nine games.
