Stearns had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past the Dexter Tigers, posting a 64-8 victory. The result was nothing new for the Minutemen, who have now won eight contests by 30 points or more so far this season.

The win (which was Stearns' third in a row) raised their record to 8-2. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 4.7 points on average over those games. As for Dexter, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.

Looking ahead, Stearns will face off against Old Orchard Beach on Saturday. The Minutemen will need to watch out since the Seagulls have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. Dexter does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
