The Dyersburg Trojans scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They blew past Tournament Team 82-30 at home. Considering Dyersburg has won six matches by more than 23 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Dyersburg's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Chelby Jordan led the charge by scoring 16 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Jordan continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Joya Crawford, who scored 16 points.
The victory (which was Dyersburg's third in a row) raised their record to 11-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.0 points per game. As for Tournament Team, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-13.
Dyersburg won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Lake County at 6:00 p.m. on December 29, 2023. Lake County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings (they are ranked 204th, while Dyersburg is ranked 22nd). Tournament Team's road trip will continue as they head out to face Summit Country Day at 9:00 a.m. on December 29, 2023.
