Two dominant signal callers in Holt Frazier and Jace Gill are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Brock Eagles will be playing at home against the Graham Steers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Graham will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: Brock extended their winning streak to eight on Thursday. The Eagles blew past Burkburnett, posting a 66-7 win. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Eagles' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 51st, while the Bulldogs are ranked 752nd).

It was another big night for Bryer Mcdonald, who rushed for 143 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries. Those 143 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Colt Matlock, who picked up 107 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Brock was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 312 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 174 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Brock's defense and their three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Caleb Holt, Slade Mathis, and Brett Cannon, who each picked up one sack apiece. Holt was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making six total tackles (3.0 for loss).
Meanwhile, while Graham put up plenty of points on Thursday, the same can't be said for Mineral Wells. The Steers simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Rams 42-0. The Steers haven't had any issues with the Rams recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.
Graham's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Brock, their victory bumped their record up to 8-0.
Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. Brock has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 242 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Graham struggles in that department as they've been averaging 216.5 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Brock skirted past Graham 12-10 in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Steers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
