The Hamden Green Dragons's five-game losing streak came to an end on Thursday. They snuck past Notre Dame with a 21-17 victory. The win was just what Hamden needed coming off of a 38-7 defeat in their prior game.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hamden to victory, but perhaps none more so than Evelio Lugo, who threw for 151 yards and two touchdowns.
When it comes to explaining why Notre Dame lost, one person who can't be blamed is Dylan Whitlow. Despite the final result, he rushed for 29 yards and two touchdowns.
Hamden's win bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Notre Dame, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 2-8.
Hamden does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Notre Dame also has no future games currently scheduled.
