The Beechcroft Cougars scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. The stars were shining brightly for them in a 84-65 victory over Mifflin. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Beechcroft has managed all season.
Mifflin's loss came despite strong showings from Tariq Johnson and John Glover. Johnson scored 19 points along with seven rebounds, while Glover scored 18 points. The game was Glover's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Bj Woody, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds.
Even though they lost, Mifflin were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
The win makes it two in a row for Beechcroft and bumps their season record up to 3-3. As for Mifflin, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
Beechcroft will finish 2023 at home by hosting Dublin Coffman at 7:00 p.m. on December 27th. Mifflin will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on St. Francis DeSales at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2024.
