Emporia and Manhattan are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2019, but not for long. The Emporia Spartans will head out on the road to face off against the Manhattan Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Emporia focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Friday.

River Peters continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 28 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Nolan Jacob was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with eight rebounds.
Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought game, but Manhattan had to settle for a 56-53 loss against Junction City on Friday. Emporia has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for Manhattan, their loss dropped their record down to 10-7.
Emporia was able to grind out a solid win over Manhattan when the teams last played back in January, winning 55-47. The rematch might be a little tougher for Emporia since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
