The Louise Hornets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. They took a hard 43-24 fall against Schulenburg. Louise was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Schulenburg apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
Schulenburg's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Grace Schramek, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Alana Herzik, who scored ten points along with five rebounds.
Louise's loss was their sixth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 8-18. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 26.3 points per game. As for Schulenburg, their win bumped their record up to 6-23.
Coincidentally, Louise and Schulenburg will both be playing Ganado the next time they take the court. Schulenburg will head out to face Ganado at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Louise will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
