After losing to the Hackensack Comets the last time they met, the Kennedy Knights decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Kennedy came out on top against Hackensack by a score of 47-40 on Tuesday.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Kennedy to victory, but perhaps none more so than My'Shayla Clancy, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 13 rebounds. The matchup was Clancy's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zahniya Castillo , who scored 12 points along with nine rebounds.
Kennedy's win bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Hackensack, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Kennedy will head out on the road to face off against Caldwell at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hackensack will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Secaucus at 12:30 p.m. on January 6, 2024.
