Mason Markovich Earns League's Top Spot
Starting off the list is Glenwood Springs's Mason Markovich, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Markovich's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 129 rushing yards dating back to last season. His longest rush was for an incredible 76 yards.
Glenwood Springs' loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-3. Markovich will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant effort when he faces off against Rifle on Friday.

A Season-Best Effort from Easton Embrey Leads Palisade over Rifle
On Friday, Palisade got the W thanks in part to Easton Embrey playing the best football he has all season. Embrey rushed for 155 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. His longest rush was for an impressive 50 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
The victory (which was Palisade's third in a row) raised their record to 5-2. Embrey and Palisade will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Steamboat Springs at 6:00 p.m. on October 24th.

Keaden Lake Delivers Best Effort of Season
On Thursday, Eagle Valley got the W thanks in part to Keaden Lake playing the best football he has all season. Lake picked up 208 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. He torched the secondary when he pulled down a catch that went for 89 yards.
Eagle Valley now has a winning record of 4-3. Lake and Eagle Valley will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Rifle at 7:00 p.m. on October 25th.

Kaleb Reed Makes It Two for Palisade
Another Palisade player making an appearance on this list is Kaleb Reed. He rushed for 42 yards and a touchdown.
