Basketball Recap: Glen Oaks Sets Scoring Season-High Against Covington

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Glen Oaks). They really took it to the Covington Lions for the full four quarters, racking up a 66-34 victory. The Panthers pushed the score to 50-22 by the end of the third, a deficit the Lions had little chance of recovering from.

Despite the loss, Covington saw an underclassman step up: sophomore John'Tavia Baham posted ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Anamaria Cerniglia, who scored six points.

The win got Glen Oaks back to even at 15-15. As for Covington, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-17.

Coming up, Glen Oaks won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Port Allen at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Glen Oaks is facing Port Allen at the right time seeing as Port Allen is stuck on a five-game losing streak. Covington does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
