Maurepas is a perfect 10-0 against Family Christian since March of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Maurepas Wolves will challenge the Family Christian Flames at 4:00 p.m. Maurepas is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.
Last Monday, Maurepas earned a 7-4 victory over John Ehret.
Alex Aime and Kade Penalber made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Aime tossed 3.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs but no hits. Meanwhile, Penalber struck out six batters over 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That one hit allowed gave him a new career-low. At bat, Aime got on base in three of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases and one RBI, while Penalber scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4. Those three stolen bases gave Aime a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Noah Dugas, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonah Miller, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in two of his five plate appearances.
Meanwhile, Family Christian came up short against False River on Tuesday, falling 20-13. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Monday (ten), the Flames still had to take the loss.
Terrance Kilbourne was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, four RBI, and one run. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Devyn Baker was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.
Maurepas' record is now 7-9. As for Family Christian, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-7.
Maurepas beat Family Christian 10-5 in their previous meeting back in March of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Maurepas since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
