Wilmot (S.D.) beat Tiospa Zina (Agency Village, S.D.) 46-8 while riding the arm of
Austin Hulscher, who tossed four touchdown passes.
The Wolves were up 32-0 at the half after taking the lead on a defensive touchdown in the first quarter.
Wilmot expanded its lead to 40 points entering the fourth quarter. WHS scored two times in the third, including once on a touchdown run by Hulscher.
The Wolves put up 26 points in the second quarter en route to the win. Wilmot scored four touchdowns on passing plays during the quarter, boosted by two receptions by
Landon Hammer.
Hulscher stood out for WHS in the win. The senior quarterback ran for one touchdown. He has now scored 15 touchdowns on the season.
The Wambdi's lone touchdown came on a 50-yard kick return by Bailyn Bursheim in the fourth quarter.
Coming into the game the Wolves had allowed 25.7 points per game this year.
Wilmot also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 47-0.
The win was a nice bounce back for WHS, which lost to Clark/Willow Lake last week, 46-44.
Wilmot (5-2) will play a Eastern Coteau (9 Man) game against Hamlin next week, while Tiospa Zina (0-6) will take on Tri-State co-op [Rosholt/Fairmount/Campbell-Tintah] also in a Eastern Coteau (9 Man) game.
