The Nueva School Mavericks posted their biggest victory since November 30, 2023 on Wednesday. They took their match on the road with ease, bagging a 70-42 win over Design Tech. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win The Nueva School has posted against Design Tech since January 31, 2019.
Gabe Ciechanover continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 26 points. He has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last seven times he's played. Another player making a difference was Jackson Lee, who scored 14 points.
Despite the loss, Design Tech still got an impressive performance from Bassam (Sam) Karadshe, who scored 15 points. That was a full 35.7% of Design Tech's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Eddy Yee, who scored ten points.
The Nueva School pushed their record up to 7-3 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. As for Design Tech, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-9.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. The Nueva School won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Kehillah at 7:00 p.m. on January 11th. Kehillah is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Design Tech, they will be playing in front of their home fans against San Francisco Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
