Heritage added to the longest winning streak in 6A District 14 this week by beating Okeechobee, 40-0. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
Westwood fell to Bayside 49-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Alex Ogle threw for 216 yards and 2 touchdowns. He went 10-28 with 1 interception.
Xavier Preston was the best receiver in the league this week as Jensen Beach lost to Port St. Lucie.
6-foot-2 quarterback Ogle of the Falcons is the league leader in passing yards this season with 722. He has also thrown 7 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Lucious McKay. The Bayside star has 11 catches for 254 yards.
As it stands, the Jaguars are in third, while Heritage is in first.
There should be lots of points scored when the Bears and Jensen Beach face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Bayside comes in having scored 169 this season, while Tim Caffey's team has scored 86. Jerrod Ackley's team scored 49 points last week as it bested the Panthers.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Port St. Lucie takes on the Panthers. The Jaguars have allowed 64 points this season, while Heritage has given up 32. Port St. Lucie allowed 14 points last week as it beat the Falcons.
