The Lehighton Indians will venture away from home to face off against the Salisbury Township Falcons at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Lehighton will come into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.
Lehighton is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Pen Argyl 16-1 on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Indians, who have now won three games by seven runs or more so far this season.
Aidan Albert was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in April of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high.

Lehighton hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most four strikeouts in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, on Thursday Salisbury Township's undefeated season almost came to an end. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 7-6 W against Jim Thorpe.
Like Lehighton, Salisbury Township also got a great game from a two-way player: Dominic Gracia. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Gracia has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 3-for-5. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season.
In other batting news, Markus Jones and Michael Stauffer did most of the damage at the plate: Jones scored a run while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances, while Stauffer got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one double and one RBI. Jones also brought in two RBI, marking his first of the season.
Lehighton's record is now 5-0. As for Salisbury Township, their record is now 4-0.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Saturday as neither team is afraid to steal. Lehighton has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Salisbury Township struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 5.5 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Lehighton took their win against Salisbury Township in their previous meeting back in March of 2019 by a conclusive 8-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lehighton since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
