Basketball Recap: Santana Piles Up the Points Against Southwest EC

After losing to Southwest EC the last time they met, Santana decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Santana Sultans breezed by the Southwest EC Eagles to the tune of 47-13 on Thursday. Given the Sultans' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 446th, while the Eagles are ranked 1061st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Santana's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lala Carreno, who posted eight points. Chopee Shiro was another key player, putting up eight points.
