David Bishop Delivers Best Effort of Season
David Bishop produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Fort Bend Austin to the win on Friday. Bishop rushed for 144 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries, and also picked up 35 receiving yards and two touchdowns. The performance marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in September of 2023. His longest rush was for an incredible 95 yards.
Fort Bend Austin's victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-3. Bishop and Fort Bend Austin will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Fort Bend Travis at 7:00 p.m. on October 18th.

Austin Carlisle Dazzles in Ridge Point Win
Ridge Point picked up their fourth consecutive win on Saturday thanks in part to Austin Carlisle. Carlisle turned in nothing short of a gem, throwing for 134 yards and two touchdowns while completing 87.5% of his passes, and also rushing for 68 yards. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 63 yards.
If history really does repeat itself, Carlisle might just drop another big game when he faces off against Fort Bend Dulles on Thursday. Carlisle threw for 239 yards and four touchdowns while completing 88.2% of his passes the last time he and the Vikings duked it out back in September of 2023.

Koen Herrmann Makes It Two for Fort Bend Austin
The second Fort Bend Austin player making an appearance here is Koen Herrmann, and for good reason. He threw for 216 yards and four touchdowns on only 19 passes.
This season, Herrmann has thrown 8 touchdowns while averaging 196 passing yards per game.

Saxon Gumabong Turns in Season-Best Performance
On Thursday, Fort Bend Elkins had to settle for second even though Saxon Gumabong put up the best numbers he has all season. Gumabong picked up 127 receiving yards and a touchdown. He has become a key player for Fort Bend Elkins: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least 100 receiving yards, but 1-2 otherwise.
Fort Bend Elkins' defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. Gumabong and Fort Bend Elkins will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Fort Bend Bush at 7:00 p.m. on October 17th.

Cash Talbot put up the most rushing yards he's had since back in September of 2023 on Friday. He picked up 72 receiving yards and a touchdown. He showed off some serious burst, lighting up the secondary with a catch for 54 yards.
Fort Bend Clements is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5. Talbot and Fort Bend Clements will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Fort Bend Hightower at 7:00 p.m. on October 18th.
