On Thursday, the Lisbon Broncos's game was all tied up 13-13 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They came out on top against Richland by a score of 35-26. That's another feather in the cap for Lisbon, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Among those leading the charge was Kyra Haecherl, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 15 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Tarynn Gilbert, who scored 2 points.
Lisbon's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Richland, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Lisbon will head out on the road to face off against Sargent County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sargent County and Lisbon are at an even 3-3 over their past six head-to-heads. Richland will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Dakota Prairie at 1:30 p.m. on December 16th.
