Softball Recap: Fowler's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Fowler extended their winning streak to three on Thursday, bumping their season record up to 18-7 in the process. Everything went their way against the Pewamo-Westphalia Pirates as they made off with a 14-7 win. Considering the Eagles have won 12 games by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

As for Pewamo-Westphalia, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. They have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

For Pewamo-Westphalia's part, Elyse Thelen was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. That home run marked the first that Thelen has launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Reylee Thelen, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and two doubles.

Coming up, Fowler will square off against Potterville at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Pewamo-Westphalia, they will head out on the road to face off against Ionia at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
