The Rangeview Raiders''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fifth straight loss. They were beaten by Brighton 60-30. Rangeview was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Brighton apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.
When it comes to explaining why Rangeview lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jahiem Alexander. Despite the final result, he rushed for 120 yards and three touchdowns, and also threw for 208 yards and a touchdown on only 12 passes. Another player making a difference was Kevin Prosser, who gained 95 total yards and a touchdown.
Among those leading the charge was Jeremiah Ramos, who rushed for 164 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.6 yards per carry. Blake George was another key contributor, throwing for 179 yards and three touchdowns while completing 85.7% of his passes.
Rangeview's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Brighton, their win bumped their record up to 5-5.
Rangeview will look to defend their home field on October 28th against Mullen at 2:00 p.m. Mullen presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Rangeview in Colorado (Mullen is ranked 41st, while Rangeview is ranked 140th). As for Brighton, they will head out on the road to face off against Legacy at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Legacy's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last three games.
