The Basic Wolves will face off against the Arbor View Aggies at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Basic is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Nevada's top teams: Liberty, who was ranked sixth at the time (Basic was ranked first). The Wolves walked away with an 8-4 win over the Patriots on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wolves.

Basic got a great performance from Lincoln Evans as he tossed 5.2 innings while giving up three earned runs off seven hits. What's more, Evans posted five strikeouts, the most he's had over his last three contests.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Matthew Kelley, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Tate Southisene was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Arbor View, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They never let Shadow Ridge get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory on Wednesday. With that win, the Aggies brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.
Colton Christman tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over six innings pitched.
At the plate, Landon Blais was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Jase DeSantis, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
Basic's victory bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Arbor View, their win bumped their record up to 9-5.
Everything went Basic's way against Arbor View in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, as Basic made off with a 13-3 victory. Do the Wolves have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Aggies turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
