Issac Day Tops All Others This Week
Starting off the list is West Tallahatchie's Issac Day, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. On Friday Day rushed for 251 yards and three touchdowns on only seven carries. On Friday, South Delta got the W thanks in part to Dekevion Miller playing the best football he has all season. Miller rushed for 62 yards and a touchdown on only five carries, and also threw for 100 yards and a touchdown while completing 71.4% of his passes. The performance marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in October of 2023.
If the past is any indication, Miller could be in store for another big game when he takes on West Bolivar on Friday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Miller saw the Eagles), he rushed for 80 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries, and also picked up 45 receiving yards.

Powell Came Up Big in South Delta's 26-0 Win
Another South Delta player making an appearance on this list is Marvin Powell. He rushed for 103 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries, and also picked up 37 receiving yards.
On the season, Powell has averaged 57.7 passing yards per game. It gets even more impressive: after seven games last season, he had four rushing touchdowns. This year he is already up to nine.
