The Chiles Timberwolves were the 63-47 winner over the North Florida Christian Eagles when they last played one another two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. Chiles was just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 66-65 to North Florida Christian. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game last Friday (60), Chiles still had to take the loss.
Several Timberwolves players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Isaiah Bundrage, who scored 22 points. That was a full 33.8% of Chiles' points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Trenquarius Strozier, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds.
Chiles' loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-9. As for North Florida Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 9-10.
Chiles won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Madison County at 7:30 p.m. on January 24th. As for North Florida Christian, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Wakulla at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th.
