The Harrison County Thorobreds fought the good fight in their overtime contest against the Moore Mustangs on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 78-77 to the Mustangs. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Friday (62), Harrison County still had to take the loss.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Moore to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dayvone Harrison, who scored 26 points along with 3 steals. Another player making a difference was Dashawn Hall, who scored 16 points along with 5 rebounds.
Harrison County's loss dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Moore, their victory bumped their record up to 1-2.
Harrison County will be playing at home against Paul Laurence Dunbar at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Paul Laurence Dunbar knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully Harrison County likes a good challenge. Moore's road trip will continue as they head out to face Fairdale at 7:30 p.m. on December 5th. Fairdale presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Moore in Kentucky (Fairdale is ranked ninth, while Moore is ranked 134th).
