Bobby Fadden Turns in Season-Best Performance
Bobby Fadden produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Mohawk Area to the win on Friday. Fadden threw for 292 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 passes, and also rushed for 66 yards and two touchdowns. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making six total tackles (1.0 for loss) and defending four passes.
Fadden and Mohawk Area will square off against Riverside at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Panthers, probably because Fadden had a solid game then too: he picked up 81 receiving yards and a touchdown. Elijah Palmer-McCane was instrumental in extending Ellwood City's winning streak to eight on Friday. Union Area had no answer to Palmer-McCane as he rushed for 189 yards and three touchdowns. Palmer-McCane's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 110 rushing yards.
Ellwood City pushed their record up to 8-0 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Palmer-McCane and Ellwood City will welcome Beaver Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Jackson Chapman Sets Career High in Rushing Yards
On Friday, Mohawk Area got the W thanks in part to Jackson Chapman playing the best football he has all season. Chapman picked up 162 receiving yards and a touchdown, good enough to also set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 87 yards.
On the season, Chapman has caught 3 touchdowns while averaging 41.6 receiving yards per game.
