FARMINGTON, N.M. -
Farmington (N.M.) took an early lead against
St. Pius X (Albuquerque, N.M.) and held on for a 21-0 victory on Saturday.
The Scorpions put up 14 points in the opening frame. Farmington scored on a
Brian Farley touchdown run and a touchdown run by
Jacob Lucas.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run by Farley in the first quarter, FHS was up 14-0 at the half.
The Scorpions came into the game allowing 10.6 points per game.
Farmington also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 21-13.
Farmington (5-1) goes up against Bloomfield in a non-conference game matchup next week, while St. Pius X (3-3) locks horns with Aztec also in a non-conference game.
