Nazir Allen was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 22 points and 13 rebounds for Power Center Academy. The game was Allen's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Marquis Tunstall, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten assists.
KIPP Collegiate has fallen quite a ways from their 22-6 record last season and are now at 0-11. As for Power Center Academy, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. KIPP Collegiate will face off against Douglass at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Douglass has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,054 points over their last 14 matches. Power Center Academy won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Craigmont at 7:30 p.m. on December 13th. Craigmont is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home.
