The Fallston Cougars scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They took down Aberdeen 61-47. The win was familiar territory for Fallston who now have three in a row.
Ayla Galloway was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. Galloway is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Maddy Burns, who scored eight points along with five steals.
Fallston has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. As for Aberdeen, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.
Fallston will be playing in front of their home fans against Edgewood at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Maryland (Edgewood is ranked 60th, while Fallston is ranked 43rd). As for Aberdeen, they will head out on the road to face off against Harford Tech at 6:45 p.m. on Monday.
