Booker T. Washington came into Wednesday's game looking for another win against Gulliver Prep, but Champ Smith wouldn't allow it. The Raiders secured a 68-62 W over the Tornadoes on Wednesday thanks in part to Smith, who shot 65% from the field en route to 26 points along with three steals and three blocks. The matchup was his fifth in a row with at least 23 points.

Another player making a difference was Wynn Allen, who went 5-for-6 on his way to 14 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals. Gulliver Prep is 2-1 when Allen posts three or more steals, but 2-8 otherwise.

Despite the defeat, Booker T. Washington saw an underclassman step up: freshman Frizzy Catilus posted 25 points. Those 25 points set a new season-high mark for Catilus. Robert Carr was another key player, putting up 14 points.

Gulliver Prep's victory bumped their record up to 4-9. As for Booker T. Washington, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-4.

Gulliver Prep has already played their next contest, a 59-44 win against Jackson on the 26th. As for Booker T. Washington, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 64-32 victory against Westland Hialeah on the 29th.
